Highlights: Delightfully sweet, organic cherry tomatoes deliver a burst of flavour to green salads, are great as a ‘stand-alone’ snack and can be used in a range of sweet and savoury dishes.  Technically they are a fruit and they combine well with stone fruit in pies as well as in making compote or sorbet.

They are also enjoyed grilled or roasted and cooking them increases the available lycopene. Lycopene is a red pigment and antioxidant that can quench singlet oxygen free radicals twice as efficiently as beta-carotene. Like beta-carotene and lutein it helps limit UV damage to the skin from sun exposure decreasing UV-induced formation of peroxyl radicals.
