They are members of the Capsicum annuun L. family which are harvested by hand while still unripe to preserve their bright green colour. Bred from an original spicy variety, the growers intentionally reserved seeds from the milder variants to produce this special pepper. They are of course grown without the use of artificial fertilisers, insecticides and herbicides by experienced farmers who ensure the superior characteristics and quality of this exceptional pepper.

These chillies are traditionally fried in olive oil and served with a sprinkle of sea salt flakes, They are found in tapas bars all over Spain and wider afield. They make a delicious compliment to the local cider, beers and red wine and although usually mild, occasionally there is a spicy throwback, so its good to have a drink nearby. An ideal snack for this festive season!
