Highlights: This brilliant little red apple originating from Tasmania is a cross between Malus sylvestris, the crab apple and Malus domestica the domestic apple. Originally bred by Bob Magnus, Tasmania’s own heritage apple expert, it is one of the earliest apples to ripen. Bite into the tart, crisp flesh and wait for the sweetness to develop as you chew. This apple is a flavour bomb!

The unique rosy flesh resists browning (oxidataion) which makes it ideal for many different dishes. Not only a delightful snack, it also has enough depth of flavour to be ideal for cooking. N.B. It makes an excellent rosy-red cider when fermented.
