One of the most deliciously sweet citrus fruits, this is a hybrid of Citrus reticulata, a cross between the tangerine and the grapefruit.. The Tangelo 橘子 Jú zi, with its characteristic bell shape is most often mistaken for an unusually shaped orange and like the orange is an excellent source of vitamin C, folate (B9) and potassium. Look out for the ripe fruit with their beautiful bright red-orange skin on the shop shelves.
