Yellow peaches (Prunus persica) 黄桃 Huáng táo, are stone fruit related to plums, apricots, almonds and cherries and are though to have originated in China over 8,000 years ago. Fresh organic peaches seem to have higher levels of antioxidants to boost the immune system as well as fibre to improve digestion and gut health. Rich in carotenoids as well as polyphenols such as caffeic acid, they help protect the body from ageing and free radical damage.
