Organic Chestnut Honey is produced by our bees foraging on the flowers of the chestnut trees of the forests of National Parks located in the province of Castile and Leon (Spain), at an altitude of approximately 1,000 to 2,200 meters. Bona Mel organic chestnut honey is dark amber coloured, with floral aroma, wood scented and in the mouth a  sweet taste with salty undertones, with a bitter touch, if heather appears or an acid taste, if blackberry appears in its composition. Harvested it from beehives in the month of July.

Visual appearance (colour): Dark amber.
Aroma: Floral scent with a final note of wood.
Taste (mouthfeel): Sweet taste with salty undertones; if heather appears, with a bitter touch or if blackberry appears in its composition, then acid.
Texture (Crystallization): Slow crystallization.
