Highlights: These beautiful members of the nightshade family have a similar taste to the more familiar red capsicum and are another variety of Capsicum annum. Our organic red ramie capsicums are grown in Holland and in spite of resembling an overgrown chilli, they contain very little capsaicin. They are an excellent source of β-Carotene and vitamin C and fibre.

They may be eaten raw and are also delicious roasted. They are extremely versatile and from their Central American roots have now been adopted into international cuisines. They work well in quiches, pizzas, paellas, stuffed, in dressings, sauces, stir-fries and salads.
