~ MICKEY BENTO ~

When I was a kid, I always envied my classmates’ lunch boxes because my parents were too busy to prepare meals. Once, I was surprised to see a bento box on the table before going to school. Sat on the bus with my hands holding the two-tiered silver cylindrical bento box, I couldn’t bear to put down the bento box for fear of spilling the happiness I occasionally got even they were hot. I couldn’t wait for my lunch break on that day. Just a simple meal with fried cabbage, a hard-boiled egg and soy sauce. However, the stomach and heart are full and warm.

Whether it is between families, couples, strangers, or just for ourselves, bento always conveys love and blessings in the form of food boxes.

Today, we are proud to collaborate with Disney and take this opportunity to bring you a healthy and blessed Mickey Bento! This Mickey Bento is vegetarian friendly and has a balanced combination of carbohydrates, protein and fiber.

The organic sweet corn has a mild sweetness and it contains source of complex carbohydrate which to give your body a long last energy! The chickpea tempeh is a great high-quality plant-based protein, ideally for vegetarian or vegan diet will full aroma of chickpeas and lighter tempeh taste.

The Tamagoyaki (Japanese Omelet) is made with the organic eggs from Simply Natural. It is antibiotic free, selenium and vitamin E enriched. Selenium in eggs acts as an antioxidant to prevent the breakdown of body tissues. Selenium also works hand-in-hand with vitamin E to protect against some chronic diseases.

Full of vegetables like the beetroot, carrot, cucumber, cos lettuce and cherry tomatoes. They provide daily needed dietary fiber which goods in maintaining blood sugar level, antioxidant property such as betalains from beetroot and plenty of vitamins! The special crunchy textures from vegetables and the umami taste from dried seaweed enhance the flavor of entire dish.

The Ingredient:

1 bowl —– Rice (can replace with brown rice)
½ pcs —– Organic Carrot
½ pcs —– Organic Beetroot
3 pcs —— Organic Eggs (Medium)
2 pcs —— Seaweed
½ cup —- Organic Cherry Tomato
¼ pcs —– Organic Sweet Corn
1 pcs —— Organic Cucumber
½ pcs —– Organic Chickpea Tempeh
1 bowl —- Organic Cos Lettuce
High Oleic Organic Sunflower Oil

Methods:

Shred the carrot, beetroot and sliced the cucumber.
Fried the Tamagoyaki Japanese Omelet and tempeh.
Steam the sweet corn for 10-15 minutes.
Put 1/3 bowl of rice on the cling wrap. Wrap and roll it into a round shape. Set aside. This is for the Tsum Tsum Mickey’s face.
Put 1 tbsp of rice on the cling wrap and follow step 4 to make into small round shape. Prepare 2 sets as these are for the Tsum Tsum Mickey’s ears.
Cut the seaweed into two small squares, face, eyes and nose.
Put some oil on both hands and take out the rice ball from the cling wrap. Wrap the rice ball with the seaweed. May use the cling wrap to help but be careful not to squeeze too hard or the seaweed might break.
Combine the rice ball with the spaghetti and a Tsum Tsum Mickey Rice Ball is done!
Now place and decorate your bento with all the ingredients you’ve prepared!
